Our client, a London university is looking for a Research Conference Coordinator to join their team on a 3-month, full-time contract, supporting a large-scale international academic event happening this September.

This hybrid role (3 days onsite) would suit someone confident leading end-to-end conference delivery especially within a research or Higher Education setting. You’ll bring order, structure, and energy to a fast-paced project, working closely with senior academics, researchers, and external suppliers.

Research Conference Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

Lead the full delivery of a large-scale academic conference (200+ attendees) from start to finish
Coordinate event tech platforms like Oxford Abstracts
Manage abstracts, posters, registrations, and logistics with precision and confidence
Liaise with suppliers, venues, and university departments to ensure everything runs smoothly
Create and oversee branding, signage and comms
Be the point of contact for stakeholders, offering structure and reassurance throughout the process

Research Conference Coordinator Key Skills & Experience:

Experience coordinating large academic or research-focused conferences
Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task under pressure
Comfortable with conference software (e.g., Oxford Abstracts, Eventbrite)
Background in Higher Education or similar research environments
